I really appreciate that UXPH put together a free event like this and that the speakers were generous of their knowledge and experience. A couple of months ago, we researched as much as we could on designing for VR and your groups were the only ones who were able to provide the information that we needed, which could apply to us here in the Philippines. I love volunteering for UXPH! Even though it's my first time to help organize a conference things went smoothly and organized so everyone had tasks to do, so I didn't feel overwhelmed. I'm not a UX professional yet but I feel so included in this org, just like a safe space for all of us to grow in our careers & life in general. Thank you Team!
As a student who is just starting to explore on my career options, the panel discussion on "Shaping Your UX Career" broadened my understanding of the UX industry. It was especially nice to know the origin story of each speaker, and how each of them were from different fields and just transitioned to UX. This proves to me that it is never too late to pursue anything as long as you choose to do so.
I would just like to send love to the whole UXPH Team for this AMAZING conference! I am a non-designer — I just thought of snooping around to know the UXverse is like but I ended up staying for the whole event. The welcoming vibe of this group is just <3! My background is on sales and account management, but because of this event, I realized that having a UX-centered mindset is a must for anyone in a similar role. This is definitely a start of something new!
